Skin Peels
The use of chemical peels to soften and improve the appearance of the skin dates back over 3,500 years to the ancient Egyptians.
Historians describe the use of several different techniques, including the use of animal oils, salt, and alabaster to smooth the skin.
Egyptian women bathed in sour milk, or rubbed fermented grape skins from the bottom of wine barrels over their skin to enhance beauty.
Today, scientists have identified numerous forms of acid which can be used to induce beneficial changes for our skin. Facial peels have
grown enormously in popularity over the past twenty-five years and now it can be a very effective treatment when performed by an experienced
practitioner.
How does it work?
The procedure known as chemical peeling involves the application of a chemical solution to the surface of the skin to produce the careful
removal of its outer layers. The amount of skin removed will depend on the type of chemical used, the strength of this product and how long
it is left on the skin.
No matter how deep the peel, your skin will re-grow and should heal fully.

The treatment
I use Dermaceutic chemical peels. These are medical peels and can
only be carried out by a trained medical professional. They are not available in the high street and should not be confused with very mild and
gentle peels available from beauty therapists.
They can be used to freshen up the skin and can help to treat acne, oily skin, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, photo damage and ageing skin.
They can be used on the face, the neck, the chest, the body and the hands.

open pores and reduced pigmentation and freckles.

to treatment with glycolic acid, the arms, hands, neck and chest improve at a slower rate than the face.

2) PEELS FOR PIGMENTATION
Abnormal pigmentation (Chloasma / Melasma) can occur on any skin-type. Pigmentation can be caused by sun damage, hormones (Pregnancy / Contraceptive pills) and as a result of wounds or inflammation to the skin.
SPOT PEEL®:
Price: £400 (includes skincare products)
It's a medium peel used for pigmentation spots, melasma, chloasma (pregnancy dark spots) and post inflammatory pigmentation. It is used in conjunction with the Milk peel which targets more stubborn pigmentation. A course of 2 peels may be required.
INNOVATION CONCEPT PEEL® (ICP):

The Innovation Concept peel is a superficial peel used for the elimination of pigmented spots, freckles, pigmented scars, actinic keratosis and
improve the appearance of rough sun damaged skin. It smoothes and softens skin. It can be used on the face, the neck, the chest and the hands.
It can be used on all types of skin including Black and Asian skin.
Your skin is carefully cleansed; the mask is then applied and may be left for 2 to 8 hours depending on your skin type and the problem requiring
treatment.
I strongly recommend you use a glycolic acid based cleanser for approximately 10 days before the peel, for better results. The products necessary
for one month following your treatment come in a patient-ready home pack. The aftercare pack is included in the treatment cost. The treatment is
not painful, and down time is minimal with redness on day 1, mild peeling on days 2-3 and visible results by day 30.
